One of my first memory is when I first came to the USA. It was a dream come through because I always wanted to go to the us. It was in January 2013 right in the middle of winter. Before the plane land, the pilot says it was -6 degrees I do not know how cold that was until the taxi I took drop me to the place where I was supposed to go. I waited in the cold for my friend but she never show up after 15 minutes I couldn't feel my hand so I decided to look for a hotel and try to reach my friend the day after. I took my bag in the cold but after a 3-minute walking I couldn't anymore I thru my baggage and when I was about to give up I saw a taxi. I wave at the drive and he told me to come I put my baggage in the truck and tell him I was looking for an affordable hotel to spend the night. He told me he will go get some food and we will go look for a hotel. When I get in the taxi the driver feels that I was freezing he pull up the heat and when I get back to my normal state I ask him if I can use his phone to call back my friend. And when I call my friend she told me to come back to her house that she was there so I ask the driver to drop me there and on our way there we saw my friend and I told the driver to stop she get in the car and we went to her house together.

Apartheid is a dark period of South African history where segregated and discriminated. A lot of color folks died during that time. And there are sensible subjects even in today's South Africa. But as a committed artist, these are The tough subject Zanelle Moholi cover on some of her artworks.
